I heard sometime ago, somewhere that all things are relative. Consider when you put your hands on a hot stove a second seems like an hour, but put your hands on a hot woman and an hour seems like a second. I guess things are relative.

For My Friend

We found out yesterday that an employee of mine, whom I consider a close friend, had a terrible tradgedy. Her husband was robbed and killed. For several agonizing days she wondered where he was, as he did not return home or contact them in any way. She had a bad feeling about the whole thing. What a world we live in, that someone could take the life of another without conscience(?). I hope that those who read this know that each and every day we are occupying a place on this planet, we should live it to the fullest. I heard a speech from Jimmy Valvano, where he said that every person should laugh, think, and cry. each day to get the most of each day.

What you really see is...

While on vacation with my family, we were walking down a quaint little cobblestone street where vendors were selling their things, when I kept noticing a lady out of the corner of my eye whose dress kept blowing in the breeze. The only thing was, there was no breeze. Being with my fantastic wife, I couldn't turn to see what was going on without being "that guy". So I kind of made my way around a vendors table, and low and behold there was Marilyn. Well, a statue of her anyway. I think your mind sees what it wants to sometimes.

What exactly does the f-stop do?

I get book after book, and read the owners manual time after time, but this is just not getting through. The f-stop has to work in conjunction with something, but what? How do I use it and how does it benefit me in my photos??

Lighting and Reflection

This picture was taken early in the morning when the sun had just risen over the horizon. To me this seems to be the best part of the day. The colors are softer, and maybe more in depth. I have learned that great reflections are from still water, but maybe thats common sense. Make to sure to take photos from different angles, especially with a digital camera, as you can review them later and select the perfect one.
